St. Matthew’s,

‘a friendly and enthusiastic church family’

St. Matthew’s Church is a Grade II Arts and  Crafts Style 1935 building set in a large grassed  area with a  modern central heating system, a  modern kitchen and a sound system with loop.  St Matthew’s acoustics are considered to be  exceptional within the deanery and the church  has in the past hosted Kammer Philharmonie of  Koln and the Withernsea Ladies Choir. The Sunday School meets fortnightly, on the first and third Sunday every month, and is led by two dedicated adults.   Coffee is usually served after Sunday morning  services, providing a continuing opportunity for  fellowship. There are also fortnightly prayer  meetings and a Bible study group. St Matthew’s is actively involved in the  Withernsea “Churches Together”, which is also  supported by the Methodist, Roman Catholic and  United Reformed Churches. We also support the  Holderness Foodbank and have a collection point  in the church.
